Showcased as a concept car two years back in Frankfurt, the Mini Cooper Clubman has
the "shooting brake" look that combines elements of a coupe and a hatchback. There
are three versions of the Clubman: the Cooper D Clubman, Cooper S Clubman, and the
Mini Clubman. The stretched roofline extends the Clubman's body length to 13 feet,
which is 10 inches longer than the regular Mini.

The extra length gives the five-passenger Clubman more cabin room and an added 35
cubic feet of cargo space by folding down the rear seat. Loading and unloading is
made easy using split doors in the rear and the "club door" opens backwards from the
center of the car allowing for easy entry and exit to passengers in the rear seats.

The Mini Clubman is available in three engine options: a 110-horsepower 1.6-liter
turbodiesel four cylinder, a 120-horsepower 1.6-liter four cylinder, and a
175-horsepower 1.6-liter turbocharged four cylinder.

The new second-generation Mini offers a highly efficient powertrain technology that
lowers fuel consumption and carbon emissions. The most-efficient performer is the
Mini Cooper D Clubman that delivers 4.1 liters/100 km or approximately 57 mpg and
its CO2 emissions are reduced to 109 g/km (per .62 miles).

To maintain a go-kart feeling that the Mini is famous for, the Clubman is
specifically geared with a new chassis technology. The Clubman also comes with
anti-lock brakes, an electronic brake force distribution, cornering brake control,
brake assistant, dynamic stability with hill start-up assistance, and a limited-slip
differential as an option for the Cooper S Clubman.
